A product we run ourselves
infobalkan is the first online platform for people from the Balkans living in Germany: a curated directory of businesses and service providers, sorted by category, city and status, with a map view and direct contact by phone or WhatsApp. An editorial section delivers news, guides and association information in the language of the community.
We built infobalkan as our own product and operate it ourselves – hosting, verification of listings, content and further development. A second edition for the Macedonian community is prepared at infomkd.de. For clients this means: we know the operator side not only from requirements, but from our own daily work.
- Challenge
- A directory that users understand immediately and that grows for the operator without effort: listings must be verifiable, search must combine category, city and opening hours, and content must be maintainable in several languages.
- Solution
- Server-side rendered web app with Leaflet-based map search, filters by category, city and verification status, detail pages per business and an editorial section for news and guides – GDPR-compliant with consent management.
